Checking Your Network Utilisation

Accessing your settings page

Open your web browser and type in in the address bar. This will bring you to the login screen for your router interface. The username and password are both set to ‘admin’ by default (if you’ve changed this, then please enter your specified details).

Checking the data

Navigate to ‘Traffic Manager’ within the ‘General’ menu on the left-hand side.

Navigate to the ‘Traffic Monitor’ tab (second from the left).

Make sure you select to view the correct data – if you have a fibre-optic connection, select the ‘VDSL WAN (PTM)’ tab. If you’re using a standard broadband connection, select the ‘ADSL WAN (ATM)’ tab.

The graph you see will show how much data is passing through your router. By monitoring your network utilisation through these data rates, you can see whether your network is idle, normal or busy.
